Teaching Personnel is currently working with a school in the Nelson area who are seeking to recruit a Teacher of English for after the Easter Holidays. The school are looking to appoint on a permanent basis assuming the successful completion of a probationary period. The school has consistently shown excellent progress and has been commended for the outstanding pupil outcomes, especially with pupils of disadvantaged backgrounds. The English department have shown considerable improvements with a 10% increase on the number of pupils achieving over grade 4 on the previous year.

Teachers who are interested in this role should be committed to developing Outstanding Teaching and Learning. They should have the ability to engage and motivate pupils to succeed at both English Literature and Language. The school would welcome applications from both experienced teachers and NQT's. Candidates with experience delivering English Literature at A-level would be preferred, however this is not essential.
