English Literature or Language Teaching role available in Merton
About the role
- English literature or language teacher with UK teaching qualifications (e.g. BEd, PGCE, QTS, BA QTS)
- Require experience teaching in Secondary schools at KS3-5 level
- Full-time role; 5 days-a-week, working from 8:30 till 15:30
- Interviews for this role begin this week
- The pay would range from £150-200 a-day depending on experience and qualifications

The school who are looking to hire for this role is based in South-West London in Merton and as such, if you are not able to travel this far on a daily basis please do not apply.
The successful candidate will be expected to have experience teaching English in a Secondary School at KS3-5 level and would ideally have good behaviour control in the classroom. The leadership of the school would like to hire a teacher who is willing to go the extra mile for their students, running catch up classes and helping where ever they can.
The school
The school has a multitude of fantastic facilities for both learning and for sporting activities. There is an added emphasise on extra-curricular activities and exercise for children and young adults. However, it is not only sporting facilities which add to the schools curriculum. High quality science labs allow students to broaden their learning beyond text books.
Ofsted has rated the school as "good" and the new Head has instilled a cohesive and driven leadership, who are looking to push onto an "excellent" rating. They are looking for candidates who share their ambition and can help the school continue on its upward trend. Ofsted stated:
"An excellent range of enrichment opportunities contribute strongly to pupils' all-round development."

The school is located near Haydons Road Station, a 15 minute walk to the school.
