English Teacher- Leigh

  • Full time English teaching position
  • English to Key Stages 3 & 4
  • Required from September 2018
  • Fixed term position paid in line with MPS/UPS dependant on experience (£22,917- £38,633)

Due to an upcoming planned absence, the Head teacher of our partner school is seeking a dedicated English Teacher with a proven track record of achieving high results to join them from September. This post is suitable for both newly qualified and experienced English Teachers who are seeking a progressive role within a school that is going from strength to strength.

English is a popular subject at the school and is led by an experienced Head of Department who strives to ensure all teachers are supported appropriately. There are currently ten English teachers with the department who all work collaboratively to deliver a high standard of English teaching for the pupils.

Our partner school is smaller than the average sized secondary with around 700 pupils on roll. The vast majority of pupils who attend are from a White British background. The numbers of pupils who speak English as an Additional Language is below the national average. It has an excellent reputation within the local area with a strong sense of community felt throughout.

It is located on the outskirts of Leigh town centre making it accessible for those on public transport also. It is easily accessible from both the surrounding areas of Bolton and Wigan respectively via the A579.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
