Join a vibrant secondary school in Wythenshawe, seeking to appoint an English teacher from October 2020.

The successful English teacher will have excellent subject knowledge in English Language and English Literature and will assist in the development of schemes of work, resources and assessments. They will take responsibility of delivering English lessons across the full age range and to a variety of abilities.

We are looking for an English teacher who will ensure effective strategies are in place to enable all pupils to achieve their potential and make excellent progress. They will set high expectations and will deliver quality teaching and learning across KS3 and GCSE.

This large mainstream secondary school is located in Wythenshawe, located just a short drive from the city centre and surrounding areas of South Manchester. Due to the demographics of the school, there is a high percentage of students who receive pupil premium funding and a number of students who are from disadvantaged backgrounds. For those who drive, the school is easily accessible by the M60 ring road or the M56 motorway.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
