English Teacher

  • Full-time English position
  • Large successful secondary school in South Manchester
  • Temporary position (Nov 18 - Jan 19)
  • Pay to reflect your experience - Earn up to £170 per day.

Teaching Personnel are working with a large successful secondary school in Manchester who currently have a temporary vacancy in their English department from November 2018. The school are looking for an outstanding teacher who has had experience of teaching English within a secondary setting. The school are proud to be celebrating their best exam results to date including the highest English score in Manchester. (86% of student achieved at least a 4)

This post would equally suit either an experienced practitioner wanting a new challenge or an NQT wishing to work with a group of dynamic teachers as they develop their teaching skills. The successful English teacher will be responsible for teaching English at key stage 3 and key stage 4 with the possibility of teaching some key stage 5. This position will run from November 2018 until January 2019 in the first instance with the potential to continue throughout the academic year for the successful applicant.

The successful English Teacher will:

  • Hold a DfE Qualified Teacher Status
  • Be an outstanding practitioner who inspires pupils and have experience of teaching in successful inner city school
  • Have a track record of successful learning and teaching and delivering results
  • Have the ability to draw upon their professional background to demonstrate their ability to successfully teach up to GCSE

The school has excellent facilities throughout including extensive ICT facilities and purpose built specialist rooms for Technology, Science, Languages and Art. In their most recent Ofsted report, the school received 'Good' in all areas including achievement of pupils, quality of teaching, behaviour and safety of pupils, leadership and management.
