Due to a gap within the schools English department, we now have an exciting opportunity for an inspiring teacher of English to join our partner school in central Manchester. The successful English teacher will be required from April until the end of the academic year with the opportunity to become permanent for the successful candidate.

We are looking for an English teacher with a proven track record of academic excellence who will join the department with energy and determination. The successful English teacher will join a supportive, ambitious and hardworking department and will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The schools department is well resourced and will provide ongoing support for the successful teacher.

The school is an oversubscribed non selective 11-19 school based in central Manchester with just under 1400 pupils on roll. The school recently benefited from £21.5 million investment and has excellent facilities throughout. The school has been judged to be 'outstanding' in all categories and outstanding for overall effectiveness! The percentage of students whose first language is not English or have been eligible for free school meals is above the national average due to the central catchment area of the school.
