Teaching Personnel are searching for SEN Teachers on behalf of a Special Needs School rated 'outstanding' in Derbyshire. The positions are full time and permanent working with students with moderate Special Educational Needs aged 11-16. The needs of the students include Autism, ADHD, HI, VI, PD and SLCN.

We are looking for SEN teachers that have a specialism in English/Literacy.

The ideal candidate would have;

  • Qualified Teaching Status or Newly Qualified Teaching Status
  • A Bachelors Degree
  • Be a subject Teacher in English
  • Experience working within an SEN school desirable
  • Experience working with children with SEN
  • Team Teach desirable but not essential
  • Makaton training desirable but not essential
  • Autism Awareness training
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • An empathetic nature
  • A Passion for Teaching and Learning
