We are seeking an English Teacher on the behalf of a Nelson based School for a position starting in September 2021.

The School

A popular 11-16 Secondary School with approximately 1200 pupils on roll. The ethos is school is centred around the goal of all pupils achieving their maximum potential. All pupils are nurtured to become effective communicators and independent learners who are prepared to take their next steps beyond secondary education.

The role

We are seeking an English Teacher due to school expansion and the progression of existing staff into senior roles within school. Although a full-time member of staff would be ideal, we would be able to consider candidates seeking a part time role (0.6 or 0.8 timetables). The incoming teacher would be expected to deliver to both KS3 and KS4 English Language and Literature. There is extensive pupil support available for year 11 pupils with all staff delivering timetabled revision sessions throughout the year.

The candidate

We are seeking:

-          A specialist English Teacher with a good degree in a relevant subject field

-          A Teacher holding QTS

-          A Teacher who is enthusiastic about developing the whole pupil and supporting them to achieve their maximum potential

-          A team player who is willing to support colleagues

-          A Teacher who leads by example, setting high expectations for pupils

-          Early Careers Teachers and NQT’s would be considered for this role
