English Teacher

Teacher of English required on a full time permanent basis to start after the February half term teaching KS3-4 in a large mainstream secondary school located in Farnborough. This role encompasses the full responsibilities of a classroom teacher and will involve planning and marking, assisting the head of department in building and designing the curriculum where possible and working to ensure that the department is moving in a single direction. 

This role will be paid in line or above pay scale.

You will be working with pupils of all academic abilities across year 7-11 ensuring that the students are engaging with the curriculum and utilising cross curricular links with other subjects. The English department is a close knit group who all get along well on a professional and personal level, they have a great working environment with your own classroom to decorate and organise as you see fit and a departmental resource room. Sharing of resources is encouraged by staff and senior leaders to reduce the additional workload often seen by teachers.
