  • Full-time English teaching position, Easter 2019 start (or sooner if possible).
  • Initially temporary until the end of the academic year, with the opportunity to secure a permanent post in the new academic year (2019/2020).

  • Earn pay in line with teaching scale point (£23,720 - £39,406 per annum).
  • High achieving English department with students achieving grades significantly above the national average.

Due to a departmental restructure, our partner secondary school wish to appoint an English teacher on a full-time temporary basis until July 2019. The successful English teacher will then have the opportunity to secure a permanent post ahead of the new academic year (2019/2020). The timetable will cover both Key Stage Three and GCSE lessons, and there will be expectations of full planning and marking responsibilities included with this position.

It is essential that the successful English teacher can deliver outstanding lessons that cater to the needs of all pupils, inclusive of ability. Both experienced and newly qualified teachers of English are welcome to apply for this position, and the suitable support will be provided throughout the position.

The school is situated within the Bolton LEA and currently has approximately 900 pupils on roll. There are a number of provisions already in place to support all students at school, and intervention classes take place each Wednesday. The school can be accessed via the M61 motorway and is directly opposite the A666. For non drivers, the school is only a short walk away from south Bolton train links meaning the school is easily accessible on public transportation.
