English teacher

Teaching Personnel are currently working with an Ofsted graded 'Good' secondary school based in Wigan that wish to appoint a English teacher to join their department from September 2019 (or earlier if possible) on a full-time basis.

This English teaching position is a temporary post with employment for the remainder of the academic year. The successful English teacher will be required to teach a complete time table including GCSE classes ensuring that they continue to achieve excellent results at GCSE level.

• Full-time English teacher required from September 2019 or earlier if possible.
• Opportunity to earn a permanent contract following from this initial period of one term.
• Pay in line with MPS/UPS (£23,720 - £39,406 per annum).
• The school welcome applications from English teachers of all experience levels (NQT's and experienced English teachers).
• Teaching English to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.

English teachers wishing to be considered for this opportunity will need to have;

• QTS in secondary English.
• Experience teaching English to KS3, KS4 and GCSE pupils.
• Good behaviour management skills, and positive classroom presence.
• A valid Enhanced DBS Certificate that is registered to the update service.

The school is located on the outskirts of Wigan bordering Salford which makes for easy access from surrounding areas; St Helens, Warrington, Leigh and Chorley.
