English Teacher

Due to a staffing re-structure, our client secondary school are seeking to appoint an English teacher from March until the end of the academic year. This may progress onto a permanent contract depending upon the success of the initial two terms.

“We have an open vacancy within the English faculty commencing in March. We are accepting applications from experienced and newly qualified English teachers, and relevant support will be provided. The timetable will consist of full planning and marking responsibilities across both Key Stage Three and Key Stage Four and examples of outstanding teaching will be expected.” Head Teacher.

Our partner secondary school has recently seen improvements throughout GCSE results with over 80% of pupils achieving a score of 5 – 9 within English last academic year. The incoming English teacher will join an established team of 7 English teachers, and four specialist teaching assistants and will join the journey to raise attainment across the English faculty this academic year.

The English department boasts large classrooms and open learning spaces with computers available, the successful English teacher will be based within their own classroom and will have the support of other staff members with departmental meetings, planning and collaborative marking sessions.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
