Learning Support Assistant opportunity:

  • Are you currently looking to kickstart your career within the education sector?

  • Can you easily build a quick rapport with students and have the knowledge to assistant with their learning?

If so, Teaching Personnel are currently working with a secondary school located in the Tameside area who are looking for a learning support assistant who’s able to carry out the following:

Individualized Support: Provide one-on-one assistance to students with special educational needs (SEN) or those requiring additional support. This may involve helping with academic tasks, such as reading or completing assignments, and providing assistance in understanding and applying concepts.

Inclusion Support: Facilitate the inclusion of students with special needs into mainstream classrooms. This includes adapting learning materials, modifying teaching strategies, and working closely with subject teachers to create an inclusive learning environment.

Behavioural Support: Assist in managing and addressing challenging behaviours. LSAs often work closely with teachers and other support staff to implement behaviour management strategies and interventions, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.

Differentiation: Collaborate with teachers to differentiate instruction, tailoring activities to meet the individual needs of students. This may involve adapting teaching methods, materials, and assessments to accommodate various learning styles and abilities.

Variety of Opportunities: work with multiple schools, providing LSAs with access to a variety of opportunities. This exposure allows LSAs to work in different educational settings, gaining experience with diverse student populations and learning environments.

Flexibility: we can often offer more flexibility in terms of working hours and locations. This can be advantageous for individuals seeking part-time or temporary positions, or for those who prefer a variety of experiences.

Professional Development: we also invest in the professional development in all of our staff. This may include training sessions, workshops, or courses that enhance the skills and knowledge of LSAs, as access to such opportunities can be beneficial for career growth.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
