Are you an English teacher seeking a new position for January?

Well respected secondary school in Stockport are looking to appoint an English teacher for a maternity cover initially for two terms from January through to July 2020, with the potential to continue into September dependant on the returning teacher.

A traditional mixed comprehensive with just over 1100 students, you will be delivering English to students who are engaged in their learning and academic ally successful. There are low levels of students who have special educational needs under 10% and minimal students who use English as an additional language.

The timetable will consist of KS3/KS4 English literature and language with GCSE classes available if the successful candidate has experience with Year 11. You will be working within a high performing and well respected English department consisting of 9 full time teachers and an established Head of Department. You will be expected to undertake full planning and marking as permanent member of staff and assist the English department as required.

Located in central Stockport there are local train stops and direct bus routes for those on public transport.
