Catholic School in Tameside are looking for an inspirational English teacher who can add a wealth on enthusiasm and passion to the English department. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring teacher of English looking for a new opportunity or coming to the end of a current placement. The timetable will consist of teaching English across KS3 and KS4 so previous experience of this will be an essential requirement.

You will be expected to take on full responsibilities for the English post and will be tasked with ensuring students reach their expected levels of progress for the upcoming GCSE exam period. Commencing after Easter initially for the summer term on supply this could continue in September.

Achieving just below national averages 50% of students achieved at least an A*-C grade in English. Planning, marking and regular student assessment will be an essential requirement of this English post. You will be well supported by an experienced Head of Department and vibrant English department. Situated in the SK14 post code of Tameside the school is located just of the M67 and has local public transport links.
