Due to an unexpected long term absence emerging within this schools English department, the Headteacher of our client school located in Rochdale seeks to appoint an English teacher on a full time basis ASAP.

This is a full time position whereby the successful applicant will hold a timetable consisting of both KS3 and GCSE classes. The English teacher will be competent and be able to ‘hit the ground running’ and have a successful track record of being able to encourage progression across the ability range.

Found in central Rochdale close to Castleton, a short drive from the M62, the school is easily accessible from the surrounding areas and has regular public transport links. Serving an ethnically diverse catchment area, there are an average number of EAL pupils on roll in which specialist teaching assistants offer additional support to individual pupils. The successful applicant will need to be fully committed to all departmental responsibilities, including following schemes of work, regular training and development opportunities and half termly parents evenings.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
