Qualified English Teacher required for SEN school

The position we are currently recruiting for will be a challenging but highly rewarding role. We are looking for an English teacher who has had experience of a secondary setting and experience of Teaching children on the Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC.) The ideal candidate will be available full time and ready to begin in September.

Main duties & responsibilities

• To ensure that Individual Education Plans are written and communicated.

• To undertake appraisal of support staff.

• To undertake a range of duties as determined by the Head Teacher

• To prepare pupils for public examinations.

Personal qualities required:

• Must be able to build effective relationships with difficult children and young people.

• Must be an approachable and caring personality with integrity.

• Must have flexibility, strength of character and resilience.

• Must be adaptable and willing to accept guidance and support.

The school have also said it would be beneficial to have someone who is Team-Teach trained but it is not essential.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
