Are you a secondary English teacher looking to make a transition in to an FE setting?

Since September 2013, general further education colleges and sixth-form colleges have been able to enrol, and require direct funding from the Education Funding Agency (EFA) for 14- to 16-year-olds who wish to study high-quality vocational qualifications alongside general qualifications including English and mathematics within the Key Stage 4 curriculum.

Our client college seek to appoint an English teacher on a full time permanent basis from January 2017. You will provide education for 14 – 16 year olds, providing a fun and exciting opportunity for students to access mainstream education in an FE settings. This is an ideal opportunity to support those students that find the mainstream setting difficult on a day to day basis for varying reasons.

This English teaching post is ideal for someone that is looking to further develop their management skills and is keen to incorporate their creative nature in to this teaching role. Abilities within the student’s ranges and all English teachers applying for the role must have highly developed skills in differentiating to support those needs.

- Hold FQT status and a PGCE/Equivalent in secondary English.

- Be comfortable delivering English to all abilities across KS3 and GCSE

- Be comfortable managing behaviour and achieving excellent results with all pupil abilities
