Teacher of English required in Chorley

Temporary position in September for an English Teacher to work in a secondary school in Chorley on a full time basis.

Are you an English Teacher looking for temporary work in September? Teaching Personnel are working closely with a large secondary school, due to a maternity leave they require an English Teacher for a term (initially), this will be full time and involve teaching Year 7 – 11. English is a well regarded subject in this school, with over 70% of pupils gaining the A*-C grade in GCSE during last summers exams, the head of faculty is looking for an English Teacher who is competent and able to independently plan and deliver KS3 and GCSE lessons to help children progress and reach their potential.

- Rate of pay in line with your experience (up to £140 per day)

The successful English teacher applying will be joining this well regarded mixed secondary initially on a temporary basis, there is an opportunity for this to be extended beyond December 2017. You must be prepared to take up departmental responsibilities for marking and planning work within your timetable to be considered.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
