ENGLISH TEACHER NEEDED FROM SEPTEMBER 2017 AT MAINSTREAM SECONDARY SCHOOL

ARE YOU A QUALIFIED TEACHER OF ENGLISH?

If so, a school that I am working very closely with are seeking to appoint a teacher of English in the new academic year. A start date hasn't yet been finalised, but you will be covering for a maternity leave, the school are seeking an additional member to join the team.

This is a great opportunity for a new colleague to make a significant impact on the direction of the school. The English Department is innovative and ambitious to improve further. We will actively support the successful candidate in their preparation for future applications to advanced positions. We expect the successful candidate to teach across the full age & ability range, including English in KS3 and KS4. If you are interested in developing professionally and can validate relevant experience this post offers a great opportunity to work in a school where pupil behaviour is very good.

The successful candidate will:

* Hold a valid UK PGCE with QTS

* Be an excellent practitioner.

* Have the knowledge and experience to teach across the whole range of age and ability.

* Be enthusiastic, resourceful and keen to ensure that the highest possible standards of student achievement, personal development and well-being are achieved.

You must be available full time and have suitable references and an enhanced DBS (or eligible to apply for one) to be considered for this position.
