Teaching Personnel are working on behalf of a client school who are looking to recruit an English Teacher for this coming term. Due to internal promotion the Principal is looking to appoint as soon as possible and the incoming English Teacher will join a successful department on a full-time basis from Oct 2016.

The school itself is a multi-cultural, average sized mainstream secondary school based in south Preston (PR26). Recently graded as 'Good' by Ofsted in December 2014, the school is amongst the highest performing in the area partly due to the 'Outstanding' leadership. The school believes in clear boundaries, high aspirations, creative solutions and the genuine enjoyment that comes from the joy of learning and the pride of achievement and success.

The successful candidate will be picking up a full timetable and be expected to deliver 'Good' to 'Outstanding' lessons to a wide range of pupils from varying backgrounds. You will be expected to deliver English to both KS3 & KS4 including AQA GCSE English. PPA time will be allocated therefore you will be expected to complete the necessary planning and marking for each class and you will be fully supported by the Head of Department and SLT.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
