The school:
My client were delighted to continue improvement and celebrate what they have achieved as a school – 72% of our students attained 5 or more A*- C passes including English and mathematics. Their last Ofsted the school was rated “good” and continues to improve year on year.
The main aims of the English department are:
1. To encourage pupils to develop a lasting interest in language and literature
2. To help pupils achieve a technical competence in reading and writing.
3. To encourage reading for pleasure.
4. To help pupils develop, and learn to adapt, their written and spoken communication skills
5. To prepare pupils thoroughly for public examinations.
6. To make a contribution to a pupils overall cultural and personal development.
