The school are looking to appoint a Teacher of English to start at February half term or sooner if possible to cover a period of maternity leave which is anticipated to be up to a year. You should be an experienced teacher of English or NQT competent in teaching both KS3 and KS4. At KS4, the curriculum is tailored to ensure the needs of all students are met. All students follow the AQA English Literature and English Language curriculum.

The English department consists of a 10 person team that includes x2 co-faculty leads and an Assistant Headteacher. They are a close knit team who are looking forward to welcoming a new member of staff who:

• Is a team player and will contribute towards team meetings and extra curricular activities when required
• Is enthusiastic about English Language and Literature and is able to install this into their students
• Is able to build good rapport with students quickly
• Is an all-inclusive teacher who considers all students in their pedagogy and planning
• Is motivated to deliver to world class English curriculum
• Has good classroom management
• Has a good sense of humour
• Has an English or related degree and qualified teacher status (QTS)
