Our client secondary school based in the Chorlton area is looking for a full time English teacher to join them for the duration of the summer term. This full time English teaching position is to start on Tuesday 23rd April 2019 and will be for the remainder of the academic year. The successful English teacher is required is required to cover the latter part of a maternity leave. The English teacher will be required to teach across both English Language and Literature at KS3 and KS4. The school are therefore looking for a strong classroom practitioner who has experience in teaching both aspects of the English curriculum.

This school is proud of their values and make no exception in requiring teaching of the highest standard. The English department is successful and thriving with a great team of professional teachers. The team is made up of 8 English teachers with a Head of Faculty and second in department; as well as 2 recently qualified teachers. There are therefore opportunities to collaborate with teachers of all experiences; something which is key within this supportive English department.

Applications are encouraged from teachers of all experience levels, whether that be newly qualified or more experienced in their teaching career.

Highlights of this English teaching position:

  • Full time English teacher required: KS3 and KS4 AQA syllabus
  • Pay will be dependent upon payscale and experience; ranging between £120 - £180 per day
  • Payrolled on a supply basis via Teaching Personnel
  • Duration: 1 term in the first instance for the summer term
  • Final term of a Maternity cover to start Tuesday 23rd April following the Easter break

This excellent secondary school is located in the Chorlton area of South Manchester. The school is located near to the local Metrolink tram line making it easy to get to for teachers travelling on public transport. The school also has a good sized car park on site as well as fantastic facilities which are accessible to staff, students and members of the local community.

The school is keen to see any applicable English teachers for interview/lesson observations or informal meetings during the second half term during March and April, so if you are available for this longer term role, then please advise on your availability during this period.
