Job description

The Head Teacher of a 'Good' East Riding school seeks to appoint an English Teacher to cover a maternity absence from January 2019. This role is initially a long term temporary post, however there may the potential of permanent employment for the successful candidate.

The school is a large comprehensive and boasts excellent modern facilities for its staff and 1200 pupils. Working within the English department you will be working within a successful team that has delivered GCSE results above the national average for the last three years. English teachers working here teach mixed ability classes to up until year 9 and then work with GCSE groups based on ability and current working levels.

To be considered for this post you will be an English Teacher that prides themselves on all pupils reaching their potential. Experience of teaching English on the new AQA exam specification would also be advantageous. Newly Qualified Teachers are also encouraged to apply.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
