  • English teacher required for a secondary school based in Wigan.
  • Full-time position with planning and marking included.
  • 12 month maternity cover that is due to start in a March 2019.
  • Competitive pay in line with MPS/UPS standards £23,720 - £39,406

With a member of staff set to go on Maternity leave in March, the schools Headteacher wishes to meet with interested teachers at their earliest convenience. With the nature of the role and the current situation within the schools English department there will be an opportunity to earn a permanent contract leading into September 2019.

It has been highlighted that the incoming teacher must have an ambitious approach to teaching and aim to regularly deliver lessons in an engaging manner.

In the schools most recent Ofsted inspection, the Senior Leadership team were praised for their high expectations and support that they provide to all staff. The Headteacher at our client school places a huge value on staff CPD and are open to applications from teachers of all experience levels.

Situated in Orrell, the school is on the outskirts of Wigan town centre making it easily accessible via car or public transport from the surrounding areas; Skelmersdale, Chorley, Standish & Ashton-in-Makerfield.
