We are actively seeking a motivated Mathematics Graduate Teaching Assistant who can provide essential support to students with diverse needs, including SEN, and those who need extra help to catch up academically in mathematics.

Position Overview:

As a Mathematics Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in delivering personalized assistance to students facing various challenges in mathematics. Working closely with our experienced teaching staff, you will inspire a love for math, boost student confidence, and help them achieve their academic goals.

Responsibilities:

• Offer one-on-one and small group support to students in mathematics.
• Provide tailored assistance to students with SEN and those falling behind in the subject.
• Collaborate with math teachers to design and implement personalized learning plans and support strategies.
• Adapt teaching materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs.
• Monitor student progress and communicate insights to teachers and parents.
• Create an engaging and motivating atmosphere for learning math.
• Contribute to the preparation and organization of mathematical resources.
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Requirements:

• A bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a related field.
• A genuine passion for mathematics and education and a commitment to helping students with SEN and diverse needs succeed in the subject.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and an encouraging approach to teaching.
• Strong organizational abilities and a collaborative mindset.
• Prior experience working with students, particularly in a teaching assistant role, is advantageous but not mandatory.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
