Job description

Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of our client RC secondary school in North Manchester. Due to departmental restructure, the school wish to appoint a teacher of English to join their faculty following the Easter break.

This position will initially be offered on a temporary basis, with the opportunity to secure a permanent contract from September 2019.

"Our English department is expanding this academic year, and due to this - we wish to appoint a creative, dynamic English teacher on a full time basis from April 2019. This teaching position will incorporate teaching Key Stage Three and GCSE students in line with the new curriculum, alongside creating plans that cater for all needs of students." - Head of English

The English department have recently been praised for supporting pupils across the cohort to develop and achieve grades above their expected target. The department is made up of 11 teachers, with support staff in each class. The incoming English teacher will be responsible for implementing strategies to raise attainment within classes, and report progress to the Head of English.

Our client secondary school is located between Blackley and Failsworth and can be accessed via the M60 motorway. Public transportation links also provide a direct route to the school with a train station across the road.
