English teacher

Full time Teacher of English, required from September 2018 for a Bury based faith Secondary School. This school wish to appoint a Teacher of English on a 12 month basis for a fixed term staffing need within their English department.

Teacher of English Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status alongside a degree level qualification in English, English Literature and or English Language.
• Both experienced and newly qualified teachers are welcome to apply as there is an excellent induction programme in place to provide o going support for staff.
• Opportunity to work in an Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' Faith School.
• Extensive knowledge of the English National Curriculum, up to a minimum of Key Stage 4.
• Teacher of English MPS/UPS £22, 917 - £38, 633.

• Plan, prepare and deliver dynamic English lessons across Key Stage 3-4.
• Maintain positive behaviour in the classroom using behaviour management strategies to ensure pupils are engaged, in accordance to policies in place at school
• Monitor, assess and evaluate pupil achievement taking appropriate action.
