English Teacher-Maternity Cover

Due to a member of the English department going on maternity leave our client secondary school located in Oldham is currently seeking a teacher of English to join their team on a full time basis, in September. This position is originally for the first two terms but may lead on to the full academic year.

Our client secondary school is an 11-16 academy, situated in Oldham close to Royton, the school is easily accessible via the A627 and has public transport links a short walk from the school. The school is highly valued by the local community, with the cohort of students coming from the surrounding areas; therefore the majority of students are from minority ethnic backgrounds and speak English as a second language. The school is a new build offering state of the art facilities for both the students and the staff to grow and progress in and has been recognised as being in the top 10% of school nationally for improved results.

The incoming English teacher will have:

• A QTS in English- NQT’s are welcome to apply

• Experience teaching English across KS3 and KS4

• Be able to deliver broad and differentiated lessons to suit all abilities

• To contribute and raise the progress of all students

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
