Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting an English teacher on behalf of our client school located in Rochdale ahead of September 2018.

  • Full time English teacher required from September 2018

  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS dependant on experience (£22,917 - £38,633)

Our client school in Rochdale require an English teacher ahead of the new academic year. The school have the opportunity to appoint an English teacher who is looking for a progressive role within a forward thinking school.

This school with state of the art facilities seek to appoint an English teacher to join a dedicated team who have improved GCSE pass rates in the last 3 years. The successful English teacher joining this school will be confident working with pupils of all abilities and be comfortable managing pupils who display more challenging behaviour.

The successful English teacher will hold the following responsibilities;

  • Hold a timetable consisting of both KS3 and GCSE English
  • Help achieve outstanding progress in students' learning through detailed planning and assessment
  • Use a variety of teaching methods and resources, to sustain the momentum of students work and ensure increases in attainment
  • Use assessment information to inform planning and maximise progress

The school is around average in size with just over 1100 pupils on roll and has been described as 'Rapidly improving' after recent recognition from Ofsted of its excellent progress over the last few years. Located in Rochdale close to Heywood, the school is easily reachable via the M62 motorway and is just a few minutes drive from junction 20. You will be joining a strong Science department led by a supportive, friendly and approachable head of department who provides clear instruction to their team.
