Teaching Personnel Bristol are recruiting on behalf of our client for an English Teacher to begin in September 2018. The school is recruiting due to maternity leave and so the position will be long term for the academic year 18/19.

The successful candidate:

  • Will have QTS or NQT status
  • Will be able to teach both KS3 & KS4
  • The ability to teach A Level is desirable but not a requirement.
  • 1 years previous experience in a UK school.
  • You should be enthusiastic in order to engage students in the class
  • Be available for a full time role for the academic year.

About the School:

The successful candidate will be joining a modern Academy Secondary school in the Bristol area. The school is a co-educational Academy, for students aged 11 to 16 years and it is a relatively new school with a state-of-the-art building, and so facilities are second to none.

The school received 'GOOD' in all categories in its latest OFSTED report. The report particularly highlighted the strong leadership and support for staff provided by the Academy.

"Leaders have raised expectations throughout the academy and adapted the curriculum to meet the needs of the students. This is now enabling students to achieve well in all year groups and subjects"

If successful you will be joining a strong English department - the report highlighted that students' progress in English is at least GOOD and sometimes OUTSTANDING.

The report also highlights that behaviour in the school is good but as with all schools there may be some disruption at times, so good behaviour management is desirable. "Students' attitudes to learning are overwhelmingly positive. They take pride in their work and behaviour is good both in lessons and during social times"
