English Teacher - Harrow

A 'good' Pupil Referral Unit is currently looking for an English Teacher.

• Age Range 5 - 16
• Ofsted rated as a 'Good' School
• Parking on site, and in a prime location for public transport links
• A supportive Head teacher, Staff and Management Committee

Are you an experienced and motivational teacher with an outstanding record of implementing effective teaching & learning sessions and managing pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues and ensuring good progress?

Are you able to teach Years 7-11, including up to GCSE level?

This is a particularly demanding role and the successful candidate must be committed to creating a positive learning environment no matter what barriers they may face. You will need to have high level of resilience, commitment and emotional intelligence to support the vulnerable young people.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience of working in a PRU, Alternative Provision, or School and with learners with SEND or Emotional, Behavioural and Mental Health Needs.
• Have a passion for their specific area and achieving high standards in their work and high expectations for behaviour and learning.
• Be committed to achieving high standards in their work and have high expectations for behaviour and learning
• Be flexible, cheerful and enjoy working with children, parents and staff.
• Be able and willing to form a positive relationship with pupils in order to support their personal and social development in accordance with the school's guideline
• Be consistent, calm and a reflective practitioner with a growth mind-set
• Have a high level of attendance & punctuality
