Teaching Personnel are recruiting for Newly Qualified English Teachers on behalf of a successful secondary school in North Tyneside. The successful English Teacher will be joining a school with impressive results across the board. Ofsted rated this school "Good" with special praise of the quality of teaching and senior management team.
This teaching position is a fixed term full time position from September 2019 until April 2020, covering a Maternity. There is a possibility of this role being extended or even made permanent for the right candidate. The School are also willing to use this English teaching post towards a contribution of your NQT year. This co-educational secondary school has a supportive and dynamic English Department with great resources throughout.
Specific Details about the role:
- English teaching role up to KS4
- 1:1 and small group interventions with mixed ability pupils
- Starting in September 2019 until July 2020 initially
- Five days per week timetable
- Potential for a permanent role following the maternity cover

In order to be considered for this role, the English Teacher will need to meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor of Education / PGCE / or equivalent teaching degree
- Proven experience teaching the UK, or an equivalent, curriculum
- Newly Qualified Teacher - even if you have not finished your PGCE please also apply
- Have strong communication, literacy and numeracy skills
- Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa)
- Recent classroom-based references and valid DBS/police check
