Are you a high calibre, dedicated English graduate seeking the opportunity to gain invaluable practical classroom experience prior to a possible teacher training programme? If you enjoy working with young people, have relevant qualifications within English, then this English Graduate Learning Support Assistant role may be ideal for you.

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with Secondary schools and Academies across the Salford LEA, and wish to recruit several English graduate Learning Support Assistants to work as part of their support team for incoming year 7 pupils transitioning into Secondary school, and possibly GCSE English in preparation for exams.

This English Learning Support Assistants role will require;

• Full time English Learning Support Assistant position, September 2018.
• Strong subject knowledge - capacity to support pupils with in the English department at Key Stage 3-4.
• Deliver pre-planned English lessons, with full support and guidance.
• Work in collaboration with the class teacher to support identified pupils in order to raise levels of attainment in English.
• Flexibility to work with a range of pupils at all levels of learning.
• Provide support 1:1, in small intervention groups and or classes when required.
• Confidently managing behaviour alongside the class teacher.

This English Learning Support Assistant position will give you the opportunity to work in a number of Salford based Secondary schools, ranging from outstanding faith schools, mainstream schools and schools with high levels of Pupil Premium which are now improving under new leadership.

You will receive full support from your dedicated Education Consultant and or school Mentor, providing you with the opportunity to progress through continual CPD training programmes.

Salford is easily accessible via the A580 (East Lancashire Road) and the surrounding areas; Bury, Bolton and Wigan. There is also an abundance of public transport options throughout Salford with links across Greater Manchester.
