English Lang/Lit graduate teaching assistant - Bury (BL9) primary school

  • Bury (BL9) based primary school
  • Full time position until end of academic year
  • Salary ranging between £14000 - £18000
  • 14th January 2019 start date

A primary school in the Bury (BL9) area is currently looking for an English Lang/Lit graduate to join their staffing team working in the Year 2 class to raise attainment in reading, writing and spelling. As the Year 2 class is now preparing for their SATs at the end of the year, the Head teacher is looking for an English lit/language graduate to use their specialist knowledge to lead small group interventions to close ability gaps within the class room.

The is a full time role starting from the 14th January and will last until the end of the academic year with a possibility of moving onto a permanent school contract. The role will consist of intervention sessions for small groups and general support of the pupils within the class room.

Successful applicants should:

  • Have a degree/specialism in English lit/language
