Teaching Personnel are working alongside a Secondary school in Bury, aiding them in recruiting an English Intervention Specialist to join their academic team after the October half term break.
Due to an unexpected increase in students who require additional support, our client school is looking for a new English Intervention Specialist in order to ensure these specific students have the guidance they require. Our partner school also hopes to ensure their current English teaching team have the correct support they require within the classroom.

- Full-time English Intervention Specialist role available from October 2019 until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of this being extended.
- Earn up to GBP350 per week, depending on previous experience.
- Support students who require additional support within English lessons.
- Work with pupils aged 11-16.
- Opportunity to support children with minor learning and behavioural difficulties.
Working as an English Intervention Specialist within our client school, roles and responsibilities will include:
- Supporting students who require additional provisions within English lessons.
- Working alongside a senior English staff team.
- Planning and delivering intervention sessions for identified students.
- Monitoring process and reporting this back to relevant class teachers.
- Incorporate interventions for students at varying levels of learning ability including those with learning or behavioural difficulties.
Application requirements
- You must have experience planning and delivering English Interventions or have skills that are transferrable to this area.
- Any experience with learning or behavioural difficulties is also desirable but not a necessity as behaviour management support will be provided from the school.
Our partner school is located in Bury and is easily accessible from surrounding areas including Prestwich, Bolton and Salford via the M61 and A58. For candidates who do not drive, our client schools can also be accessed via several forms of public transport from the surrounding areas of Greater Manchester.
