Due to the upcoming busy examination period, our partner secondary school based in North Manchester are looking to appoint a recent English graduate to join the English department as a Teaching Assistant until the end of the academic year in the first instance from Easter 2019 ideally. This is a brilliant opportunity to obtain paid experience within a secondary school for those candidates who are considering starting a PGCE in the future.

• Full time Teaching Assistant post from Easter 2019
• Supporting students through a busy exam period
• Weekly pay between £270 and £325 (dependent on experience)

Our smaller than average partner secondary school is located in the Whitefield area of North Manchester, and has fewer than 100 students enrolled from the surrounding areas of Radcliffe and Sunny Bank. Being located just a 10 minute walk away from a tram stop as well as being 4 minute drive from the M60 motorway , this Ofsted graded 'Good' school is easily accessible.

Working as a Teaching Assistant in the English department, you will join a highly dedicated and successful department and therefore will be able to learn from some experienced and skilled professionals. Your role will involve a series of tasks including supporting teachers during GCSE English lessons to give a more personalised and targeted approach to individual students leading up to the exam period. You also may be asked to deliver intervention sessions to small groups of identified students in order to boost both their confidence and attainment during what can be a stressful time for students.
