Job description

A larger than average primary school in the Longsight area of Manchester (M13) have come to Teaching Personnel in search of an English Graduate Teaching Assistant to start after May half term. This is a full time role which will run for the remainder of the academic year and into September. School based experience isn't a necessity as full training will be provided.

The role will be to work across the school, assisting children in KS1 and KS2 who need additional support with English. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to help children reach individual targets and to identify next steps for learning.

The school are looking for a Teaching Assistant who is enthusiastic, pro-active and has a passion for helping children progress. This would be the perfect opportunity for someone looking to go on to do their PGCE in future to gain good experience within a nice school for the remainder of the academic year.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
