English Graduate Position

Job description

Our client secondary school in Oldham is currently seeking an English graduate to join their faculty from January until the end of the term.

As an English graduate you will be working in the English department supporting identified students in the classroom to assist with raising attainment. You will also be responsible for providing small intervention session with students who have not met the minimum levels of attainment to assist with 'closing the gap' and challenge those deemed to be gifted and talented. Whilst working at the school you will get the opportunity to cover pre-planned lessons in the absence of the teacher to gain classroom and behaviour management skills.

  • Fixed term graduate contract, January start or immediate start

This is a mixed 11-16 secondary school situated in Oldham, close to Royton and is easily accessible via the A627 road with a range of public transport links from Manchester city centre. This is a larger than average secondary school with over 1100 students currently on roll, with the majority of students being of white British heritage.
