Job Description:
Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a school based in East Riding of Yorkshire that are looking to appoint a graduate of English or related degree (2.1 or above) to join them in January 2019, supporting to deliver the national curriculum for English Literature and Language. The school would initially employ the successful graduate on a cover supervisor/unqualified basis with a view to progress onto a teacher training course with the school or the school will provide a reference in order to support a future teacher training application.
The role is on a full time basis and you would be required to deliver the curriculum to students aged between 11-16. You should have suitable qualifications be confident with your subject knowledge. The school would provide full training and support you initially with other aspects of the role such as planning your lessons and assessing students to ensure the progress of the students.
The Role, salary and start date:
To deliver teaching and learning of English in KS 3/4 and therefore help students achieve excellent academic results, and be a role-model/impact the academy more widely.
With support to plan and deliver lessons and sequences of lessons that promote progress of pupils
To provide a nurturing classroom and academy environment that helps students to develop as learners.
Depending on degree and level of experience, the successful graduate will offered between £60-£90 per day meaning you could earn up £450 per week.
You will be required to start on the 7th January 2019 on a full time basis
Permanent and temporary roles available
Teaching personnel will also support the successful graduates continual professional development with opportunities to enrol onto various courses such as 'How to be an effective Cover Supervisor', safeguarding, Team Teach and many more!
