Are you an enthusiastic, out-going and engaging English graduate who is looking to gain experience and develop your skills before completing a PGCE?

If so a Good School located in the Wakefield area, easily accessed via the M62, is currently looking to appoint a Cover supervisor to working as part of a strong team of other Cover Supervisors and Teachers within their Learning Centre.

The role will include:

• Delivering pre planned lessons.

• Supporting Teachers across the school.

• Working with pupils in small groups to help raise the attainment of pupils within English.

• Working with pupils across KS3 and KS4.

A Successful applicant will:

• Be a strong communicator and willing team player.

• Keen to learn and develop new skills.

• An excellent role model.

• Be determined to make a positive difference in pupil’s lives.

• Have English knowledge of a degree level standard.

• Preferably have experience of working with children either in or outside of an educational setting.

The school is a larger than average school, which on its most recent observation from Ofsted was graded as Good. The school strides itself on being able to create an inclusive environment where both pupils and staff are supported and are able to achieve their full potential.

By working with Teaching Personnel, which has existed since 1996,you will be given access to the 'CPD Academy', which is great for those looking to develop their skills and aspiring teachers. Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a number of leading, nationally recognised CPD providers such as the National Association of SEN and Leeds Trinity University to deliver an extensive range of career developing opportunities, covering areas such as; assessment for learning, planning for progression, effective behaviour management, teaching for learning, using data, SEND, effective adult learning support, supporting pupils with BESD, Safeguarding, etc.
