SEN Teaching Assistant needed for a Long Term role in Enfield
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Long Term Teaching Assistant role in Enfield. The school that you will be working with have a range of purpose-built facilities and fantastic resources that benefit the staff and the pupils.
The school works closely with parents to help them have a positive impact on their child's education and aim to help them with raising attainment.
As a Teaching Assistant you will be working with pupils with a range of complex needs and pupils that have autism, learning difficulties and behaviour difficulties.
The SEN school requires Teaching Assistants to be on time and willing to manage classroom disruptions.
Desired attributes:
- Previous Youth experience
- Work with Children suffering special needs
- Willing to take on role on a day to day basis
- Understanding of PECS, Makaton are not a requirement but may be beneficial
- Support pupils with autism and challenging behaviour
- Provide personal care where necessary for students with PMLD
- Previous experience in an SEN setting would be ideal
- Completed relevant training such as PECS, Makaton, BSL, Autism awareness - training is desirable but not essential
