We are looking for an Education Recruitment Consultant to join us in our Wimbledon Primary branch and give back to the community, through the resourcing and recruiting of quality teachers and support staff for Primary schools across several boroughs; with the aim of raising educational attainment. The role is to start as soon as possible on a full-time permanent basis. We are interviewing now and the successful applicant will start before/after Christmas depending on availability. The role involves covering schools in Wimbledon and the surrounding boroughs but is based in our central London hub in London Bridge. The aim is to relocate the branch back to central Wimbledon in the next 9 - 12 months but for now it is based in London Bridge.
As a Recruitment Consultant at Teaching Personnel, you are the vital link between our client schools and candidates. You will join a thriving team covering a specialist Primary sector and will be responsible for building your candidate pool and school base across the local area.
You will:
- Make a high volume of sales and business development calls to schools across your local area
- Build and develop your own candidate database by sourcing and recruiting quality teachers and support staff and matching them to temporary and permanent job placements
- Have regular meetings with key clients (virtually) to build relationships with key decision makers in schools
- Work to key expectations measures and indicators in line with your personal and team targets
- Maintain good communication and customer service at all times with clients and candidates
- Contribute positively to your team as well as the wider location

You will have the opportunity to demonstrate these skills and qualities through your application and then during our interview process should you be shortlisted. The interview process includes a telephone interview, first interview (conducted via video call), psychometric tests and a second interview should you be successful at the first stage.
Our team based in London Bridge are a social bunch and as well as working hard together, they also enjoy activities outside of work. The atmosphere is fun and competitive with many incentives, competitions being run on a regular basis. The office is based on Southwark Bridge Road overlooking the shard and London Bridge.
Hours of Work
This role is offered on a full time, permanent basis (42.5 hours per week, 5 days per week). Currently due to COVID- 19 are staff are working on a part time office and home-based rota. Full equipment for home working will be provided.
Salary and Benefits
Along with an excellent starting salary and uncapped performance related commission, you will have the opportunity to be promoted up to four times a year, with the potential to increase your earnings by up to GBP11k within your first year. You’ll also have access to a large range of other benefits including:
