We are looking for an experienced Recruitment Consultant to join us in our Thames Valley location based in Bracknell. The successful individual will give back to the community, through the resourcing and recruiting of quality teachers and support staff for local Secondary schools; with the aim of raising educational attainment. We have a few roles available so the role could be based in Primary, Secondary or SEN depending on the individual, their personality and their preferences.

We are welcoming applications from experienced recruiters from any sector who can build and grow relationships with clients, work well as part of a team and who can identify and efficiently recruit quality candidates. It is a 360-degree role so the successful applicant will be responsible for all parts of the recruitment and sales process as well as customer service and client care.

As a Recruitment Consultant at Teaching Personnel, you are the vital link between our client schools and candidates. You will join a thriving team covering a specialist sector. Our Bracknell office services schools across Thames Valley and the surrounding areas. Due to the wide geographical spread of the schools, we do require applicants to have a full valid Driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Due to covid-19 (post lockdown) we will be operating a part time office and home-based working structure. Consultants will spend 2-3 days in the office and the rest of the week working from home (full IT equipment provided).

You will:

  • Make a high volume of sales and business development calls to schools across your local area
  • Build and develop your own candidate database by sourcing and recruiting quality teachers and support staff and matching them to temporary and permanent job placements
  • Have regular meetings with key clients (virtually) to build relationships with key decision makers in schools
  • Work to key expectations measures and indicators in line with your personal and team targets
  • Maintain good communication and customer service at all times with clients and candidates
  • Contribute positively to your team as well as the wider location

Great Career

From day one, along with an intensive induction programme, you will be part of tpGROW which is an industry leading development programme; where you can expect to be continuously supported throughout and be provided with all the resources required to have a successful career at Teaching Personnel. Even if you are an experienced recruiter, you will still attend this programme to learn how TP operates as a company and how you can be successful with us. We are looking for individuals who want to grow a career and become Team Leaders/ Managers of the future and we will invest heavily in you so this becomes a reality.

Along with an excellent starting salary and uncapped performance related commission, you will have the opportunity to be promoted up to four times a year, with the potential to increase your earnings by up to GBP11k within your first year. You will also have access to a large range of other benefits including:

Reduced working hours in school holidays;

Generous holiday entitlement which increases with service;

Additional cash bonuses for performance;

Regular incentives and prizes;

Discounted gym membership;

Discounts on purchases at a large selection of national retailers;

Contributory stakeholder pension, life assurance and a childcare voucher scheme.

Great People

Our teams all pull together and the harder you work the more rewards you have the chance to earn. There is a very collaborative learning environment where everyone’s thoughts and ideas are supported and encouraged.

After all that hard work, we are also a very social bunch! Aside from frequent branch and regional nights out we have regular company-wide events which give everyone a chance to get together and celebrate our combined efforts and achievements.

The Thames Valley office is based in Bracknell and is one of our busiest and most vibrant offices.

Our teams work collaboratively and support each other, and all get on well. Someone confident, outgoing, and excellent at building relationships will fit well into this team. We are looking for individuals from a variety of backgrounds who can showcase transferable skills in sales, customer service and establishing/maintaining relationship. Resilience and a ‘can do’ attitude are also vitally important.

For this opportunity we are looking for individuals who are educated to a degree level. What discipline you studied is not important, but we look for people who believe in the same things we do - the desire to provide a quality and professional service to the teachers and schools who rely on us.

If you would like the opportunity to discuss your long-term career prospects with us then we would love to hear from you. Please apply with an up-to-date CV and covering letter.
