Teaching Personnel is the UK's leading education recruitment agency, working solely with schools throughout the UK and Wales. Despite the current climate and temporary closures, we are seeking to hire a Recruitment Consultant to join our Primary team in Manchester, working specifically with Primary schools across Greater Manchester.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
As a specialist Recruitment Consultant in the Education sector here at TP, you are the vital link between client schools and educators (supply staff). TP has over 80 branches across the UK and Wales, the incoming applicant will join an established team and a branch growing rapidly in terms of business and school requests. You will need to work quickly and to deadlines, have strong communication skills and be extremely resilient in this fast past environment. Recruitment is a challenging but extremely rewarding career and Teaching Personnel provide you an unrivalled platform to cement a long-lasting career in an ever-growing public sector market.
You will be required to:
- Make a high volume of sales and business development calls to Primary schools in your patch
- Advertise vacancies, conduct virtual interviews and recruit Primary teachers and support staff
- Conduct face-to-face and virtual client meetings to build relationships with key decision makers in schools in order to successfully service your clients and there staffing needs
- Work to KPIs and targets in line with the company and local expectations, continue business growth
- Deliver a high level of customer service to schools and educators and ensure you complete tasks efficiently to a high standard
About You
To be successful as a Recruitment Consultant, will have excellent communication skills and an outgoing personality. In addition, you will also be resilient and have a passion for education and making a difference every day. Prior sales experience and knowledge of the education sector would also be beneficial but is certainly not a must have to be considered.

Salary and Benefits
In return you can expect to benefit from:
- Annual basic salary starting from GBP23,000 per year to reflect skills and experience plus performance-related commission
- 25 days holiday + UK bank holidays, increasing with service

Hours of Work
This role is offered on a full time, permanent basis (42.5 hours per week, 5 days per week)
Working remotely from home and within our Manchester city centre office in line with current government guidelines, TP interact via our own intranet page and the use of Microsoft teams and zoom, company equipment is provided.
