Level 2 Early Years Teaching Assistant required.

Grade 5 - £11,352 - £13,331 per annum. £9.50 - £11.15 per hour.

28 hours per week, term time working 38 weeks per year.

Do you hold a Level 2 teaching assistant qualification or equivalent? Do you have a real passion for making a difference in pupil's lives? Are you experienced working across an Early Years setting?

If so an average sized Catholic primary school located in the Platt Bridge area of Wigan, just off Warrington Road and the A58, is currently looking to appoint an enthusiastic, engaging and passionate teaching assistant to work within their Early Years setting. The role will be a full time position, 28 hours a week and will be to start from September 2018.

In order to be successful you will need to:

  • Have a real passion to make a difference in pupil's lives.
  • Have previous experience of working across a Early Years setting.
  • Have a strong knowledge of phonics.
  • Be a strong communicator and be able to work as part of a team.
  • Have a strong understanding of the Early Years curriculum.
  • Have a good level of maths and English.
  • Have experience supporting pupils on a full class, small group and 1:1 basis.
  • Be adaptable and flexible.
  • Have a calm and nurturing approach.
  • Have effective behaviour management strategies that you are able to implement.
  • Be able to support the schools Catholic ethos.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
