Early Years Teaching Assistant – Immediate Start
Teaching Personnel is working alongside a client Primary School, who would like a Teaching Assistant to immediately join the Early Years team and support a Reception class.
The Head teacher is looking for a committed and successful EYFS teaching assistant to join their motivated team. The local community is highly supportive of the school and parental involvement is very positive. The Manchester (M40) based school has a ‘Good’ Ofsted rating and is a happy, harmonious place. "The behaviour of pupils is good and pupils say that they feel safe in school and treat each other with kindness and respect. The school provides well for children in the early years. They achieve well in most areas of learning and increasing numbers achieve a good level of development at the end of the Reception year.
You will be working within a Reception class and will be based both in and out of the classroom.an essential part of the role includes promoting learning through play & child led learning, as well as utilising/creating Phonics, Reading, Writing and Maths sessions.
The daily rate for this position is GBP65 - GBP70 per day, dependant on experience. The Head teacher would like to virtually interview applicants on a trial basis with the view to start immediately, if successful.
Requirements:
- Have a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification and/or at least 3months’ experience
- Phonics experience – Experience using the ‘Letters and Sounds’ phonics scheme is desirable although not essential
- Exhibit excellent practice to inspire and motivate children
- Effective organisational skills to meet deadlines
- Good communication and sound interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective working relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents
- Show a commitment to professional development and reflective practice
- Demonstrate confidence and flexibility

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
