EYFS Teaching Assistant
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £65-£75 per day
Start date: Immediate start date
End date: TBC - Potentially July 2022
Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a teaching assistant for a primary school located on the outskirts of Accrington. You will be working in a welcoming, inclusive setting, where every pupil is nurtured to achieve their very best both academically and pastorally. We are looking for a committed and motivated individual who would like to join our friendly and hardworking team as a teaching assistant working within EYFS. This is an exciting opportunity at a Roman Catholic school for a talented and teaching assistant, or someone seeking professional development. The post is full-time and located on the outskirts of Accrington with glorious views of the Oswaldtwistle moors and the Hyndburn area.
This position is ideal for Teaching Assistants with extensive EYFS experience. As the successful applicant, you will be responsible for taking on a range of duties including supporting children 1:1, leading small group interventions, managing classroom behaviour, and building relationships with pupils. The role will involve assisting with the planning, delivery and evaluation of the curriculum and developing resources to support pupils in accessing their learning.
The successful applicant will work collaboratively with our teachers to meet the personal, social and curriculum-related needs of pupils. We’re looking for a dedicated individual to provide tailored classroom support to our pupils. You will be committed to making a positive difference to young people’s lives and in supporting and developing their learning. Your intervention will help enable an outstanding learning environment for our young people, providing the support they need to succeed.
Requirements:
- Minimum of Level 2 qualification in a relevant subject
- Have experience supporting children with SEND
- Good knowledge and confidence with the EYFS curriculum
- Phonics experience and training highly desirable
