Are you an experienced Level 3 qualified EYFS Teaching Assistant or are working towards it?

We are currently looking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant to support EYFS students on a full time temporary basis in a small primary school in Cambridge. This post will initially run for 1 term, commencing late September 2020 with the potential of extending or becoming permanent. The school is 1 form entry and houses hard working, respectful children who are eager to learn. In line with their pupils hunger for learning, the school are looking to place somebody who will encourage and support the pupils new to the school in finding their love of education.
The role will consist of the following duties:
- Provide a professional, approachable and helpful assistance to the teacher
- Help with preparation and planning of activities and lessons
- Guide the child with different learning styles to ensure they are getting the full benefit from the lesson
- Ensure a safe place of work for the child and other students within the classroom
- Reporting of any issues, in line with the school policies and procedures
- Communicating effectively with pupils, staff, parents and carers where necessary
- Ad hoc admin/general duties where necessary
- Working with small groups and 1:1

Requirements for the role
- Passionate about primary education
- SEN experience
- Experience working with pupils on a 1:1 basis that can be referenced
- Safeguarding training
- A DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one through Teaching Personnel)
- A UK address and right to work
- Flexibility in terms of transportation
- Experience within early years
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Level 2/3 qualifications

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
